Prothane Sway Bar Bushings

A sway bar bushing plays a huge role in your suspension, so don't settle for rubber. Prothane Sway Bar bushings are made of polyurethane, a much more durable material for suspension bushings than rubber. Polyurethane does not break down due to road grime, weather or oils the way the rubber can. Have the peace of mind knowing you have a long lasting part on your sway bar with Prothane's sway bar bushings. Prothane's polyurethane sway bar bushings provide a secure grip on the sway bar and does not warp over time. With this snug grip, your vehicle will see a performance boost similar to installing a larger sway bar.

Faulty Rubber

Faulty Rubber

A sway bar's function is to maintain the maximum amount of road contact during tires. The sway bar is held to the frame of the vehicle with a sway bar bushing. Original Equipment rubber can warp and/or crack, losing its grip on the bar. This causes the your sway bar to lose it's effectiveness. Just look at the old rubber sway bar bushing to the left. Imagine how good of a grip that thing could keep on a sway bar. Go with Polyurethane.

Use Prothane's Super Grease

The metal sway bar rotates inside the sway bar bushings, so be sure to use the supplied Prothane's Super Grease to lubricate the bushings during installation. Its super important that you lubricate each bushing well to prevent any squeaking. If you'd like some extra grease just in case, pick up an extra 3 pack.

Made a big difference to my handling.

Rears went on without an issue. The fronts needed very minor bracket modifications. Mount holes needed slight enlargement and shavedo a fraction of urethane off in order to ease the installation. Brackets are beefier than stock. Urethane material is superior to stock. My Mazdaspeed3 now handles fantastic.\nhighly recommend these bushings.
5 out of 5 - excellent parts.

Worked great for 10 months and 15,000 miles. Now they are pretty worn and Im somewhat disappointed. I expected longer life out of this product.

Bushing and bracket are considerably "beefier" than the stock front sway bar bushings on my 08 Mazdaspeed 3. Being "universal" replacements, I expected they would need some modification to fit correctly and had to grind the bolt holes to expand them about 1/8" to properly fit them with the stock bolt holes. Difficulty and time to install was about a 2.5-3 on a 1-10 scale. Car handles a great deal better and fixed my clunking problem! Well worth the money and time, great product.
5 out of 5 - Very solid and quality construction

I had to slide the rings on my MS3s front swaybar a bit inwards to allow for the increased width of these over stock, but that was easily done with a prybar. Overall, they work fine and are cheap! No problems, solved my clunking issue.
5 out of 5 - Fine. Does the job.

I have a Mazdaspeed 3. The only dimension on these parts that match the original part is the I.D. of the hole at 26mm. The rest are all about 1/3 larger. The material is stiffer than stock by a lot. The rings around the stock sway bar are so close to the bolt holes that the new brackets have to be modified with a slot in the side. Washers have to be used to make up for the small bolt head. This job is not easy, but when complete, the car drives like never before. They are quiet and strong.
5 out of 5 - The reward is worth the effort.

The OEM bushings on the front sway bar of my 2007 Mazdaspeed3 started to go around 40,000. By 60,000 the clunk at low speeds over bumps was pretty bad. Since I installed these the car is silent and handling seems to have tightened up a bit as well. Thanks!
5 out of 5 - Great improvement on Mazdaspeed3
