The only complaint I have (and it may be installer error) is the mount for the grill. If using the two pucks for the sides of the grill (which have no bolts) the center puck with the bolt running through the center has about 2 inches of extra room, which did not seem right to me. Because the original hardware broke in the grill (but allowed me to remove the original puck), I have not installed the new grill puck yet, but it didn't look right when I test fit it. |

However I did notice the rubber bushings I bought in place of these came with several holes drilled in them and they are very flexible. So it might be an idea worth trying on these. |

I've used these on two different 1978 280Zs. They firm up the steering very much, and I would strongly recommend pairing them with a polyurethane steering puck. The play in the stock rubber bushings is greatly reduced, which gives a much better response and road feel. The shape of the bushings make them somewhat hard to install with the rack still in the car. Manufacturer provides lubrication; however, it only helps with installation. After that you are on your own to lubricate it on a regular basis (~1x/month). Manufacturer Tech support has yet to get back with me regarding. In your hand, these bushings are no doubt stiffer than rubber (able to make a mark with my finger nail; the bushing then regains its original shape). However when installed on the car, I don't notice too much of a difference. Installation is easier than a rubber bushing; took a lot of hammering to get into the control arm, but nothing too major. Shipping was fast. EnergySuspensionParts staff get high marks for quick respond rate and for helpfulness in directing me toward the manufacturer. However in regard to the product, feel free to purchase if you want a squeaky car. |

I bought the Prothane control arm bushings for my Wife's 05 Dodge Neon SXT because the stock bushings on these cars are known to dry rot and wear out too soon. I figured that if I was going to have to replace them, I might as well go with ones that will pretty much be permanent. It probably took me a couple hours to get both sides installed, but it was all worth it. No more squeaking or thumping when entering parking lots or driveways. The front end definitely feels tighter and the car also handles better. Also a slight shudder in the tranny when it shifted from 3rd to 4th gear completely went away. Thanks to Prothane for a great product. I made sure that I used all of the grease that came with the new bushings because of reading about urethane bushing squeaks. I install the bushings approx. 5 months ago, and they are still quiet as a mouse. I'd recommend Prothane control arm bushings to ANYONE who is going to be replacing theirs!!! DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!!! |

Because of broken(defective) coil springs on this car. I had to cut the bolts holding the lower control arm to the break drum knuckle in order to remove and replace the defective springs. The bolts had rusted solid to the lower control arm bushing. Dealer tried to tell me that the bushing were factory pressed in and could not be replaced(bull S#@!), wanted to sell me new control arm. Using the bushings from this kit and a press for changing ball joints, I easily pressed out the old bushings and pressed in the new ones. Thanks for making these parts available. Mike |

I could not find a place on these web sites to leave any kind of a comment. Let me just tell you that these spring bushings are a very well made item. To my thinking they are very likely to prevent and not have squeaks that usually come. We did find that we had to use a razor blade to trim them down a bit both to get them to fit into the "eye" of each spring end and then slice off just a little bit from the larger ends that stick out in order to get them to go into the spring shackles and hanger. It was an easy thing to do. With this trimming they fit nicely and they are very likely to last the life of the car. B. Spivey |

 | Front Control Arm Bushings - 1.65 Inch OD Lower - Part Number: 7217 Customer: Will Wallman Rating: 1 out of 5Overall Opinion: Poor fit of Prothane 7217 bushings It took 6 hours to install lower control arm bushings on a 67 Camaro using Prothane 7217 bushings. Prothane steps up the OD about .010 over stock for some reason and 3 professional mechanics one of which is a front end specialist could see no reason for the step up in OD. Make them the same diameter as OEM and they can be installed easily using a bench vise and a socket for backing. We resorted to a 30 ton press and only succeeded in starting to flex the metal control arm. Released the press and the Prothane bushing was still loose. Finally resorted to bench grinding the excess metal from the OD of the outer sheath before we achieved a tighter than OEM fit. Once the outer sheath was ground down to size all other parts assembled in less than 2 minutes. I won't be using these bushing for anything at any time in the future until Prothane addresses the problem or improves their instructions. Strongly suggest that someone at Prothane try to install kit 7217 in a lower control arm. Maybe then the design will change. |

OK you dont even need to look here then... 2 -you want inexpensive replacement parts. long story short, they work great. The only time I notice any additional vibration at all is with the car in drive, stopped, at idle, and then its barely noticeable. It is more noticeable under the same conditions but with the ac on. For the money, I'll definitely take it These were $30! What I feel was the next best option: oem parts from online discounters selling for 90 a piece / 180 pair, that's before shipping. I installed all 4 mounts at the same time, (oem for the mount by the valve cover and trans) so its hard to say how much of the handling improvements came from which parts for sure, or how these compare to new oem torque struts for certain, but the car handles noticeably better than before. |

It's running a pretty stout b16 swap, with a very strong 6 puck competition clutch. After a lot of power shifting, and "dash banging," we had destroyed both of the top motor mounts. We were a little skeptical about these inserts because we didn't know how well they would work inside of a broken mount.... Let me just say that these worked out GREAT! Not only were we able to salvage the shredded mounts, adding these was also a major upgrade. Yes, they will make your car vibrate a bit, but it's not horrible, and it's worth the firm throttle response you gain, and also the reduction of wheel hop. We were glad we got these instead of trying to hunt down some OEM replacements, or shelling out major cash for aftermarket mounts. |

We have since checked our customers suspension and still looks the same. We made sure that everything was facing towards the proper points yet not sure why they look as if they want to come out of the arm. Overall though customer is satisfied with setup, just wish there was a way to make these easier to install back into the vehicle some some kind of holder for top/bottom or around the area they fit into on the control arm. |

Since I've installed it, on my car I never had any problems with it. Doesn't give me any body vibration even on high RPM. Would recommend it for street and track use! |

The noise levels and body vibrations made the car undrivable. If you want to feel all the vibrations of the engine then these are for you. The vibration of the windscreen was so great that I could not use the rear view mirror. I would not recommend these for every day street use. I no longer use this item. |

Installation was straight forward. Just need a little hammering and pressing since it's a tight fit (good fit). The insert helped A LOT with my engine movement since I had worn out engine mount. The only downside is the interior is a lot noisier now (almost like sitting inside a sub box). To me I am ok with the noise since it only happens between 1000-1500rpm (sometimes idling too). |

This part is for the serious performance/handling freak..used to eliminate rocking motion from the drive train it will introduce some noise and vibration; but this is minor compared to the performance improvements you will experience. I also have the front inserts and there is no rocking of my drive train, so all my power goes to the ground. Installation took me an afternoon to do. Make sure to support the motor and take extra precautions since you will be under the car. Money well spent; energysuspensionparts shipped my order so fast the FEDEX guy burnt his hands delivering it to my home. |

These fit perfectly, the only negative is they were sent matched up on the metal sleeve. That made it a bit of a puzzle to figure out there intended position at install. I just wanted to level the front (which I did via shackle extension)to keep the tires from rubbing. Now after installing the energy suspension sway bar end link bushings I am getting a popping noise occasionally. The Energy kit did fit pretty good. And it definitely took away the rattle I was getting from my old factory worn out sway bar end links. Installation was easy. Maybe the shackle extension is pulling the sway bars too far? |

The only thing I was unsure of was which side to put the washer on because the directions are generic. I put it on the opposite side of the sway bar and it looked right. I also drilled a hole and tapped in a grease fitting on the sway bar to inject grease into the bushing because there is a small gap between the 2 bushing pieces to allow the grease to reach the sleeve. |

This bushing kit works great for the shackle ends, but are a bit too wide once installed for the frame flanges. You will have to make minor modifications to the flange, bushing or spring. This may not be true for 4WD. Once installed these are simply the best upgrade you can make to your stock saggy bushings. Also, some pictures of this kit show shiny new hardware and shackles. You are buying bushings and sleeves only. it would be really cool if a kit with bushings and hardware was offered. |

All four engine mounts for the 8th gen Galant/Legnum VR4. I work on these a lot and often see tired mounts. Installing these is not a quick easy job, but many home enthusiasts could undertake the job and come out successfully. The engine sits where it should, and makes gear changes and direction changes noticeably better. There is slightly more vibration than OE mounts, but only noticeable when the revs drop below 800rpm. Even saying that, Id happily fit these again to another customers car. |
