32mm Front Sway Bar Bushings 2015-2017 Ford Mustang
These 32mm Front Sway Bar Bushings from Prothane will replace the original sway bar bushings on your '15-'17 Ford Mustang, which will increase your traction during a turn, keep your wheels better aligned, and decrease tire wear for the life of your Mustang.
Handling During a Turn
A Ford Mustang is a car built for speed. Whether it's putting the hammer down at a green light or chasing that personal best at the track, you want to go fast. On a straightaway, body roll won't have any real effect on how your pony is handling but during a turn there is a lot of suspension movement coming into play. One of those suspension components that has a big impact on body roll and turning traction is the rubber sway bar bushings.
Rubber is used in almost all factory suspension bushings since it's cheap and absorbs road vibration, but since the sway bar doesn't support vehicle weight, vibration isn't transferred to the driver. This means a firmer, more durable polyurethane sway bar bushing can be used to hold the sway bar in place, increasing performance without sacrificing comfort.
Prothane's Camber Answer
These 32mm polyurethane sway bar bushings from Prothane can sharpen up your Mustang's handling during a turn in a way that rubber bushings can't. The better the grip on that sway bar the better its ability to connect the wheels and reduce body roll. This means when you take a corner at speed your tires stay straighter and the contact patch (where power from the engine ultimately ends up) is flush with the ground. This also keeps tire wear on the tread, where it needs to be.
Don't Replace, Upgrade
Prothane's polyurethane sway bar bushings actually make your sway bar handle a turn as though it were a more expensive, larger diameter, aftermarket sway bar. You get all this for a fraction of the price of that bigger sway bar and these bushings can be installed without removing the bar, making this one of the simplest and shortest suspension component installs around.
Considering price, normalized tire wear, and the performance upgrade with no loss in comfort... There really isn't a reason not to get these bushings.
