When rebuilding the suspension on my 74 Dodge van, I tore one of the boots on my new ball joints. Thankfully the bigger boots in this kit fit almost perfectly on the lower ball joints. For a perfect fit, I carefully trimmed approx 1/4" off the bottom with an Xacto knife.\n\nThe Prothane boots are about 3x thicker than the OEM boots and were significantly tougher to cut, even with a very sharp Xacto blade. If you are like me and you break things just by looking at them, these boots are for you.\n\nMeasure your existing ball joints first so you get the right boots!\n

There way to hard for my truck , I dont even like to drive it anymore and will be replacing as when I hit a small bump it feels like my doors are going to fall off. Editors Note: Need to make sure the mounts are in the correct position and the bolts were torqued to the correct spec. Over tightening the bolts can cause binding in the mounts to cause a rough ride. Polyurethane mounts are stiffer than rubber and cause a harsher ride than the rubber OEM mounts. Usually installation issues are the cause.

Editors Note: The Prothane Kit 7307 does not include the outer shells. Most of the control arm and rear spring bushings do not include the outer metal shell and in some cases the inner sleeve. The forward two bushings do not fit on my model year so I cannot comment on those.\n\nFor a fraction of the cost of the equivalent Whiteline rear diff insert bushings, these bushings might be one of the best upgrades you can make on these older cars.\n\nThis seems to have fixed the front/back slop/shaking when accelerating or reversing, resulting in a much flatter and more planted feel. Highly recommended.

I had the trailing arm bushings installed 20 years ago on my 93 SI hb and they are still in decent shape. My car handling improved after the install, just need to regrease after 4-5 years to prevent the squeaks. This product will probably last the life of my car.

I simply installed a bolt on one end a put the mount in a vise while using aspud bar to line up the holes on the opposite end. Installed bolts and then I was able to tack weld the mount so I could remove the bolts allowing for some clearance to install on motor. Nice tight fit.

the bushing themselves are decent quality, but the steel bushing that insert into the lower bushing where not sized properly for the factory bolts, the threads would tightly slide in, but would stop dead when it hit the unthreaded portion. I machined the shank down a few thousands and made it work, but this is a problem that you should not have to deal with. Editors note: Sometimes the inner sleeve may have some burrs in it that would cause the bolt to not go all the way through the inner sleeve. In some cases you might that to dress down the burrs with a round file or a drill bit.

My Jeep has a built 4.0 stroker engine, now a 4.7, 284 CI. I run the TF-999 automatic transmission on stock suspension and 31 inch tires. With the extra power from the built inline six engine, the polyurethane mounts hold the engine very well. With the old 258 inline six, my transfer case shifter used to torque over to the right when I accelerated. With the new engine & mounts the engine and shifter dont move at all. The only drawback with these mounts is they transmit vibrations throughout the Jeep when it is at isle in gear. Its a 1985 CJ-7 so it drives like a little tank anyway so the vibrations dont bother me. Great Product!

I can send pictures and show you what I am talking about.it looks as if it is pulling bushing out on the driver side differential mount. And is nowhere as tight or secure as the OEM that I took out. So it has pulled the side drivers side inner bushings about 1/4 inch away from the subframe and not sure why that would happen. But that is my only concern at this point. Parts have held up well despite not having the sides greased where they contact the body mounts/ other suspension parts (had a shop do the press work to install them into my factory suspension arms and was too excited to install them which led to me forgetting to grease the points where they contact the mounts but the inner parts were properly greased) havent had time to take the parts out and properly grease the rest of the contact points due to it being my daily driver, which brings me to my next point of them being very hard, now to be honest I installed what were supposed to be factory spec replacement coil overs at the same time and Im pretty sure they are the reason that my car rides so darn rough, it sticks to the road like a boss but bumps are quite rough, I expected this as the bushings are much harder than stock but I believe the factory replacement coil-overs are much stiffer than they are supposed to be, so all in all the bushings are holding up great and I suspect they will continue to do so, my only complaint is the squeaking which is my fault for not properly greasing ALL the contact points, all in all Im very happy with the way my car sticks to the ground and with a nice set of rims and some Nitto neo gen tires I can tell the car is capable of much faster turning than I am able to stay in my stock seat.

at the suggestion of the nice lady at the order desk i also bought this lube. three tubes to one package. i tried to install one bushing without this and it was not very cooperative. i added it to all the bushings and sleeves and it worked like a charm. dont think twice about it, just get it. i used two tubes for my eight bushings and have one tube left over for future use.

This box came with two different sizes. The shorter two in height of the four fit the Moog upper ball joints very well in 97 Ford F150 RWD. The only thing is the height could have been 1/4" shorter to stop from mashing them down as much as they did. Hold grease very well. Time will tell if they last. They are much better than the flimsy stock Moog rubber grease boots that didnt last 30,000 miles. I called Moog to get the boot height, but I didnt consider Moog"s boots are like an accordion and stretch out to hold grease. They told me 1 1/2" height but I could have used 1 1/4" height boots. I highly recommend this product.

What a pain. After burning out the old bushings the horizontal ones were fairly easy to put in. The back ones though were the devil! After an hour and a half messing with the bushing press rental you can get from Auto Zone I gave up. Lip on bushing is same total diameter as the metal sleeve. Looks impossible. Dropped it off with a local shop and he had a great idea that worked. To get the lip down in size to start the pressing he took a hose clamp and compressed and squeezed the lip and then put it in a vice and it went right in. Just like a piston and piston rings. Best $20 I ever spent!

I have nothing bad to say about the body mounts. They were a perfect fit and got rid of squeaks and banging and all sorts of other weird sounds. The only problem I had was getting the old ones off. That sucked. Getting the bolts out was easy with a little heat from the map torch, the problem was the upper and lower shells were rusted together. Particularly the very rearmost position. Once the old ones were out and part it didnt take 45 minutes per side to put them back. \nI knew the job would suck, thats why Ive put it off, but your body mounts worked out great. Plus theyre hard to find for that year Explorer.

I used this grease to lube a complete rear kit from Prothane. There were a lot of people who said they had squeaks from the poly bushings after install. Maybe I went a bit overboard but I did follow instructions clearly stating each part contacting metal should get a thin and complete coat of lube. \nThe kit came with a bunch of little tubes but it didnt get me through the rear, never mind the front(not installed yet). \nI was a bit generous and I coated the metal parts in some case as well as the poly parts. Results are silent and I am TOTALLY SATISFIED with this lube. \nSuspension.com was ultra fast with the order. I ordered 3 things on the same night. Great kit. I looked in all the usual online and local parts places with no luck finding the parts for my 2003 Explorer Sport with 225,000 miles. I didnt see instructions on the site but when I contacted the online help desk the nice lady sent me a link to the pdf file with great instructions. Took me a while to install the bushings because of the crappy weather and my aversion to working on cold, wet driveway. After the weather improved I knocked it out in a couple of days (a young person could do it quicker but Im 79). Tip = a good heat gun works wonders on an 18-year-old thread-lock.

There are not any instructions that’s right for my model. The instructions in the box sort of shows the parts in the 7-301 rear control arm bushing. Which way is the 60375 supposed to go in? On the out metal side with the flange?\nI have a 65 C-10 so I have the right parts.\n\n The 64381 parts are smaller on one end. Which end goes against the control arm? I read in the other question asked on your website that the brackets need to be bent out to make them fit. This shouldn’t need to be done. The bushings are too thick from side to side. Hello, \nI found this kit to be excellent. Everything fit perfectly and the instructions were great. I do have a suggestion about removing the old bushings and hardware. I worked alone on this install. To remove the bolts, I found that drilling a 5/16 hole through the top hardware piece and just into the old bushing about 1/2 inch, was the easiest thing to do to keep it from turning. I inserted a flat nose punch in the hole to hold it from turning. This made it much easier to remove the bolt and I could work mainly from the top side. After loosening the bolt, I used a hammer to drive the bolt downward to separate the hardware pieces. PB blaster worked good for the rusty threads and hardware pieces. Thank you for making the kit. The factory bushings are junk and should have been recalled. My Sport has 170,000 miles on it and has needed these bushings for at least 100,000 miles. I am very satisfied and will recommend you to any future contacts with the same problem.

This box came with two different sizes. The shorter two in height of the four fit the Moog upper ball joints very well in 97 Ford F150 RWD. The only thing is the height could have been 1/4" shorter to stop from mashing them down as much as they did. Hold grease very well. Time will tell if they last. They are much better than the flimsy stock Moog rubber grease boots that didnt last 30,000 miles. I called Moog to get the boot height, but I didnt consider Moog"s boots are like an accordion and stretch out to hold grease. They told me 1 1/2" height but I could have used 1 1/4" height boots. I highly recommend this product.

Around 1000 miles in them so far, and theyre perfect. No noise (liberal use of SuperLube silicone grease), no falling apart. Not using the included brackets, just the bushings. Great choice for 25.4mm/1" sway bar!

I used these on my 08 3500HD Silverado, which I take off-roading and do lots of flexing n twisting on boulders. Bushings have not cracked or fallen apart like factory rubber has in the past. I would recommend Polyurethane lube on all contact surfaces to minimize common noise caused by materials.

These bushing held up very well for my daily driven and road tripped often 99 Accord. I only ran into one snag which wasnt a huge deal. I cannot remember which bushing exactly they were, but two were only slightly spaced different from another two, and my OEM bushings coming out were too shot to recognize this difference. It was difficult to figure out which way the went cause they dont look like the originals at all, you can only slightly tell by shape. This also happened with the 2 piece trailing arm cups that went into the subframe. Again Ive installed many Polly and OEM bushings and still struggled to match them up cause they would either fit both ways or were nearly the same but spaced differently.. I ended up installing them and noticing my control arm not moving very freely, so I reversed it and it was fine. I would have been so thankful for a simple idiot proof diagram of how they intended the bushings to be installed. Especially with the trailing arms. Either way the product was fantastic and worked great for me, I would still highly recommend purchasing this kit to resolve the OEM ones always tearing. Great purchase!

Exactly to parts I needed to replace the worn-out rubber bushings on a junkyard rear sway bar for my �93 S10. These will fit any S10 ZQ8 rear sway bar and were easy to install with the split axle bar bushings and two-piece end link bushings. Really tightened up the rear end.

The bushings are excellent quality and install relatively easy. My only issue with it is the rear cab mounts are about a half of an inch too tall, making the front cab mounts float in place while the radiator support mounts and rear cab mounts hold it up. I thought maybe the old mounts were just so bad that they were smashed down and then body sort of had settled with them but after trying to adjust and shim my fenders, hood, cowl, and doors I realized it was the mounts that needed to be a different height. Editor Notes: When installing the cab mounts you need to make sure they are installed in the correct position. Also if there are any cab shims they must be reused. It is possible the pickup could have been in an accident and the frame or cab could have not been repaired correctly.

The grease seems very sticky and tacky which also means its very water and friction resistant. It made my hands sticky for hours, even after scrubbing with dish soap and other grease removers. Some customers use the disposable gloves.

Installed on my 95 ram 2500 with Cummins. Biggest take away was the fact that the factory mounts (the metal piece) is only tapered on one side. I made a home-made press and couldnt get it centered, so despite the fact that it may be against the manufacturers recommendation, I took a razor and tapered the mount myself and greased the snot out of it. I used a rubber mallet to get it set in initially and then used the press and it went smoothly. Yet to see how it feels when running, but glad I did it.

The only thing it says is 4-knuckle bushing. DO NOT let that confuse you. Its just 2 knuckle bushings but 4 HALFS. 1 bushing per side, when there should be 2 per side.\nAlso giving the instructions and listing it as "knuckle bushing" and not specifying which knuckle bushing it is, has been quite a headache, I dont want to start replacing them and then my car be out of commission for another 2-3 weeks waiting for another bushing to arrive because Id like to do everything at once. Im rating a 4 but only because certain models are good like they held up real well in my integra. However, in my 2000 accord braking would cause the bushings to push out of the arm. The fork on the lower end of the strut tightens down to the sleeve that goes through the center of the bushing. So it jus slides back and forth during breaking. I swapped it out for genuine honda bushings which are bonded one piece rubber bushings in metal sleeves that press in and the problem went away u could even here a noise during braking. I would say they lasted about a year before the problem actually started and will say my grl is hard on the cat and its a heavy sedan but i was always hard on my integra and it would stick some corners and theyll still in decent shape. Overall a good product but like i saif maybe some need to be improved for certain models.

There were no instructions with the parts! I did go online and download some, but what if you did not have access to to do that? Also, there was no real definition of what position each part went in, even with the instructions. Yes, I figured it out, but there was some trial and error which could be eliminated with clear position markings on the parts along with a revision, (and inclusion) of instructions. Editors Notes: It would be very hard to have the position molded into the mount. They do have a number molded in them and if you will look at the instructions it clearly shows the molded in number and its position. I had to cut out the centers to fit the factory hardware on my truck. Mine is a 2000 model GMC Sierra 1500 4WD Canadian built truck, these were supposed to be correct for that I was told, not sure if they were or not. The part removed from the center was removed at what appeared to be a seam in the part, making it somewhat easy. There was no real instructions of how tight to tighten them so i still wonder if i have over tightened them. I basically lined up the cab body styling areas to match the bed by tightening the crap out of them. They arent mushroomed or collapsed to bad, but definitely compressed some. Ride is kind of harsh now compared to before and other truck with factory body bushings. Reason for replacing factory ones was two rears by the bed were sagging, cab dropped almost an inch, bed and cab not lined up. The price and availability for factory ones was too much.

The Prothane grease has been holding up pretty good. I only had a small problem with the rear leaf spring bushings squeaking a little but not bad. I really thought that I put enough grease on and in the bushings and inside the leaf springs and shackles. The front end bushings has been quiet from day one. All in all I am very happy with the grease and I would recommend this grease for any polyurethane parts being installed because nothing worse than having the bushings squeak while driving down the road.
