Prothane Package Deals
With a Prothane package deal, all of the bushings you need to completely revamp your suspension are included. Everything that Prothane offers for your vehicle, all together in one kit.
Prothane's polyurethane is a firmer bushing than the O.E. Not only does this increase the longevity of the bushing but gives the suspension a boost in handling performance. With a firmer bushing, there will be a slight increase in NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness), but the performance boost far outweighs this slight increase. Replacing the entirety of your suspension bushings maximizes your handling and ensures it stays that way for a long time.
Replacing the Faulty Rubber
O.E. Manufacturer's use soft rubber bushings when making a car. This is great for dampening noise and vibrations, but not so great for performance or longevity. Once the rubber fails, that quiet and smooth ride will fail as well. Rubber is prone to failure due to wear and tear, UV rays, road grimes, and vehicle oils.
Use Prothane's Super Grease
This package will come with Prothane's Super Grease to lubricate the bushings during installation. Its super important that you lubricate each bushing well to prevent any squeaking. So be sure to use more than enough lubricant when upgrade your suspension bushings. If you'd like some extra grease just in case, pick up an extra 3 pack.

The Red Polyurethane bushing set! Your black stock set from 32 years ago will be broken down, soft, and decomposing the entire ride quality of your car. Its been 2 years since I installed the product, and I actually replaced every stock bushing with a greased up red urethane bushing and it changed the entire drive quality of my mk1. I am now driving on rails it seems. I ordered the bushings knowing they would add some extra vibrations and sounds which takes a little to get used to - but if youre an avid car driver and love those little sounds of your exhaust and engine then you will enjoy feeling a little more rumble and having more direct power through shifts. That along with a dual exhaust made my car sound like a monster! I then changed out the engine mount bushings as well, and the power transfers a lot better through shifts and turns. A few of the bushings were so far stuck, I actually had to burn them out using a blow torch leaving only the metal control arm that they once sat on inside of(3 prong puller would not work- I would have greased them up more if I had another chance). Also installed front and rear sway bar with the urethane bushings and it made a world of difference with my new struts. Hands down my favorite project that I’ve done so far on this awesome car! Who would have thought this would all start while buying a newer vehicle and having a great conversation with one of the floor salesmen about their mk1 mr2 upgrades. Small purchase that could spark a lot of long term change. Recommmend!

The garage I took them to charged me 250.00 CA. to install them. Once I got my 89 MR2 SC back, I got 4 new Michelin Pilots and a wheel alignment and the car has never handled better. Nice and tight. Watch out Lewis Hamilton.

Hi its been too cold up here in Canada to install the recently purchased Prothane bushing kit on my car yet, but I will be doing it as soon as it warms up.\nI have previously used full Prothane bushing kits on my 89 MR2 S/C and also currently have them on my 400HP MR2 turbo.\nThey are an excellent product and offer a very noticeable improvement in feel & ride compliance over any perished and dried out OEM rubber bushings, which often have seized to the inside metal sleeves. I found them to be firm but not harsh at all and offer improved handling.
